Wellman Elementary has Chess Club every Friday from 7:45 to 8:15. We average 85 students each week. K-5 students are encouraged to play. Some of the older students teach the younger ones. Two 5th graders, Caleb Thomas and Clarke Latcham, volunteered to teach Mr. Poock. The public is invited to come play as well. We hold a tournament in April.
